Crazy busy!

I’m sorry I haven’t posted in awhile I’ve been very busy trying to get my yard together for this years gardening!

There’s so much going on idk where to start!?!

The old garden with a giant oak laying in it!

I moved into this new house last July, there was a “garden” already planted so I left it alone and worked on other things. in September a giant oak tree split in half and landed in the garden. Also landed on our snowmobile trailer but that’s a story for another time!

Picture do it no justice

This was a huge oak and the whole top was now laying where my next seasons garden was to go! So I spent last fall cutting it up little by little, raking up the leaves and don’t get me started on the acorns!

I piled up the brush over the raspberries that I didn’t want to be in the garden and burned it over the winter and early spring. I burned it right in the garden to add to the soil and hopefully burn out some of the roots of the raspberries to help prevent them from coming back.

After tons of burning we pulled all the old fencing and rototilled. We then replaced the old fencing with newish fencing and added a tunnel for growing all the vining things!

Freshly Rototilled
My tunnel!

It’s been cold here in Michigan so planting the garden has been a slow process but I’ll definitely keep everyone updated on the progress.

Having a supportive partner has been the biggest relief of my life. I cannot thank him enough for helping me build my dream garden!

This is just the beginning!!

Please come back for updates on how we grow and expand this space!

Have a super fantastic ultra amazing day (as my son would say!) everyone!!!

Thanks for reading
